Incidentally in terms of 1st team starters what are we looking at? A CB, CF and a wide forward....anyone think we need more?

Well the gaping holes in the squad were/are CF, CM and RB (assuming Debuchy isn't coming back). Possibly a backup GK too. Highly desirable upgrades and/or long term investments are CB, LB and Wide Attacker, although I think we might have another year's grace to sort those areas out, before they become a real problem. Would prefer to get it all done now, if the opportunites are there, but I suspect some of those moves would hinge on being able to move certain players on...

Now any sloppy seconds off of Citeh? Bony perhaps? Another who got shafted by Citeh......say we picked up Vardyband Bony, that wouldn't be so bad would it? I know people are going to slate Bony but he never played, given the chance the guy still has goals in him and those plus Giroud wouldn't be the worse cohort of strikers. Although admittedly can't see anything happening at the moment for us

We definitely can't compete with the sort of money City can throw at transfers like this. But Bony shouldn't even be considered. He had a good record at Swansea but I get the feeling he's one of those strikers that struggle when there is more expectation on them. Iheanacho had less playing time but had a better return, which I think is telling. Ideally we should be looking to get a striker that can get is a better return than Giroud's regular mid-teen numbers and I don't think Bony would do that.
