now, ignoring that its twitter and most likely bollocks. this story worries me massively, because wenger has admitted that we are short of players, so there is no way he sells a striker to get a CAM. this, if true, smacks of board lies, we dont actually have money, and need to sell to buy.
Smacks of Wenger lies too to me, he's seems to be compulsive liar from the evidence we have at our disposal, one of the problem with compulsive liars is that it's not their fault and that they just can't help but lie.

Come now Ollie don't create an imaginary olive branch for Wenger here. There's is money to spend and a lot of it at that. That can't and should not be used as an excuse this summer.
The financials don't lie. Swiss Ramble's last blog piece surmised that we have nearly the cash reserves of all 19 PL teams combined. Gazidis has said we have new financial power and even Wenger has begrudgingly admitted as much. Teams that aren't even in the CL or have close to the revenue streams that we have are spending a lot more than we are.
Let's not rewind back to seasons past when were speculating on whether Wenger had money or not. That's not an issue any more.
Wenger already said he has money to spend but, according to him, not as much as has been stated. Probably £69mill then.

Technically speaking the owners are allowed to put in £20 million of their own money under FFP so that would take us to...£69 million.
ive already said elsewhere that this summer has been poor and wenger should leave beacuse of it so im not offering an olive branch.
we have about 5 players, so why would we be trying to sell one to get another player in, who plays in a position where we have lots of players, while selling one who we cant afford to lose. it doesnt make sense. wenger says we are thin, so there is no way he would get rid of podolski. it makes no sense to me, the only explanation i can think of is that money is being withheld for some reason and he has to sell to buy
Or he has no common sense and see's ££££ when he looks at our profits.
That cash reserves thing is tiresome. It's about 100 mill set vs the 260mill stadium mortgage. It's not free cash to spend on players
A bit like having money in a post office account because you can't throw it at the mortgage due to early repayment charges.
I'd it's not there for your wife to burn on a new kitchen or holiday.
