I haven't said soldado is shit. Just said that I think Giroud is better so far, because from what I've seen soldado hasn't impressed me much and Giroud played better. If we were to sign him, he'd be backup to Giroud IMO.

Once spurs click, they will be a good team, but when you sign that many players, they wither all click at once or like qpr last year, it goes horribly wrong

Hasn't Soldado also got 4 goals this season?

Yes he was shit v us, thank fuck but he'll score 20+ this season easy as soon as all their players settle.

Giroud has had a good start but as we saw last season, he has a lot of improving tondo

2, The early business & stress-free transfer operated by the Spuds & Manc Shity for quality players.
3, The money Gazidis said was available ( before we had sold Gervinho & qulified for C.L )
4, Players around the world would love to play in EPL. Most of these would also love C.L football. Only the best would be guaranteed 1st team football at both Manc clubs & Chelski & with the world cup coming up they would not want to risk only playing limited football this year. This leaves Arsenal as the ONLY club able to offer everything.
5, The fact that we haven't bought at least one more defender & a quality striker when its obvious to the tea-lady how weak we are in these areas especially when injuries kick in.

Absolute madness from Wenget & the board - I will love the Frenchman for the rest of my life for what he has done for my club but it's time for "Denis the Menace" to come home & take us forward.
That post mortem mindset would have been useful for examining the impending corpse of Arsenal but this seemingly terminally riddled patient didn't die as expected and instead, against all the odds and the doommongering of assholes like you and I, leapt up and danced a ballet marathon - on the fucking moon. Why not grab that and suck the life out of it? It's rare, something most will never experience yet this is our second helping. I'm putting my stilettos and cheap lipstick on, donning my wig and tottering down the high street, whore and football fan that I am. I don't care, I have not an ounce of shame and it's better than waiting to die and getting even more depressed when the end doesn't come soon enough.

We're back! Well maybe we are, maybe we aren't and if it's the latter we can bitch about it with the best of them. But don't miss out on this moment, if you miss this then what's left for you in this sport or with this club?

Now excuse me but I'm off to the Arsenal online shop to buy shit I can't afford.

it makes far more sense to compare giroud's first season with soldado. let's not forget it took until late september for giroud to score his first goal against coventry before going onto have a decent season.

in terms of pedigree, soldado had a better history than giroud, in a better league. there is no reason to believe that soldado will be rubbish this season.

paulinho is good, not amazing cm and their combo with dembele and sandro is as effective as ours.

we outshine them in terms of attacking ability now we have ozil but they still have a better squad with more like-for-like replacements to keep them consistently ticking over.

Who's to say that they will click though? Everyone keeps going on about once they do this or do that as if it's a given that they will gel. For all the hype surrounding the scum every season, they seem to be good at only one thing - bottle jobs. You'd think folks would have picked up on this phenomenon by now.

Also, remember they still have AVB who strikes me a weird mofo.

I have no doubt it's going to end in tears once more for that shower.

Once they figure out this 'wingers connecting with the striker' thing they will be a much more efffective team than you saw.

That said, I still think Soldado is overrated, but its wide of the mark to think he is shite
Like any mix and match purchase some of it will be good, some shit and some maybe useful. We should know. I think overall the spuds are weaker than when they had Modric and VDV who were a step up from the players they have just bought. That team could take a year to gel, it's next season we should be concerned if AVB gets it together. By then we'll have bought Ronaldo, RvP will be back and Messi will be whining because we didn't sign him - yet. So we won't be that worried.

Like qpr last year, if you buy a whole new team, there is no guarantee they will gel. Some of their signings are good players with potential. They are unlikely to come in and tear up the league.

Soldado has to learn his new team mates game and vice versa, just like Cazorla amd Giroud had to do. It takes time. Judging by Sunday spurs are miles off from gelling.

well no-one, much like no one knows if we will improve any further too, despite our signing. rvp could only fire us to fourth and we now only have one striker. a few bans/injuries could really hurt our season.

spurs have a history of underachievement but its also sensible to realise that in a weaker league, they have as good a chance as anyone of getting into the top four. they have a decent enough squad to.

there are no guarantee's but we can only talk about how it looks on paper, much like us.

Going by Sunday, Giroud caused spurs so many problems. He has an animal in the air. Soldado did nothing, apart from one spectacular dive in the second half. Similar style of players, yet Giroud outshone him by a long way
My God -mind made up on Soldado after a few games in a new league.

Guess if Ozil does a Bergkamp in his first few games or so people would be right in saying we paid £40+ million on an average player.

Not only is Giroud known mainly for one good season in a weak french league, my opinion on Giruod vs Soldado is the answer to this question:

Can you honestly say Giroud would make it into the Spanish squad?...
