At last its taken 7 years but Wenger is finally seeing clearly.
nothing happened, he just got found out. we went overboard on him cos hes aggressive and has a sweet left foot and whatnot but hes never been a top defender. liability. and the question should be, can we find a defender good enough to hold his hand through games? but that would be harsh on kos who looks the better player.

the people suprised/disappinted at this are those who simply underrated milans players. robinho, boateng, ibrahimovic are fashionably derided in this country but theyre all top players. this milan side would have had to go some to get knocked out by this arsenal side.

It doesnt matter what the reality is, he should'nt say we are vitually out. I wouldnt want any manager from any club to do that, it tells the players that there is nothing they can do to overturn the deficit when we all know that things in football can take some odd twists and turns.
I dont think we can go through, but if I was a player in that team and my manager just told the world that I had played shit and there is little I can do to beat Milan in the next game and I was going out of the CL, then I would be thinking 'ah well fuck it, were gonna loose'.
Im not asking him to bullshit through the interview, but the least he could of said is, 'we were shit yes and we have a mammoth task ahead of us, but Im going to make sure the team fight hard to try and overturn this result'

That is why they are shocks.
