It doesnt matter what the reality is, he should'nt say we are vitually out. I wouldnt want any manager from any club to do that, it tells the players that there is nothing they can do to overturn the deficit when we all know that things in football can take some odd twists and turns.
I dont think we can go through, but if I was a player in that team and my manager just told the world that I had played shit and there is little I can do to beat Milan in the next game and I was going out of the CL, then I would be thinking 'ah well fuck it, were gonna loose'.
Im not asking him to bullshit through the interview, but the least he could of said is, 'we were shit yes and we have a mammoth task ahead of us, but Im going to make sure the team fight hard to try and overturn this result'
Thats what a winner would say.
