And it's true that Vermaelen needs to improve tbh. His defending for a while has been extremely dodgy.
Vermalen has been woeful but we need him because the alternatives are unthinkable. Rosicky is a bog miss, hopefully its too keep them out of the internationals this week.

Unfortunately we had some bad news for Rosicky today, and Vermaelen as well. Vermaelen has an ankle problem, and Rosicky a back problem. I don’t think they will be available for Wednesday, whether they are available for Saturday is a big doubt.

Vermaelen's was Parker's tackle, I guess. A handy +1 for Spurs to take away. Very important his is not serious. Irrespective of recent form, his bottom level is still about 10 times better than Djourou's. Rosicky seems like one of those we'll have to nurse through games and manage the workload. He's still got six days though.
