that doesnt make sense.

we are a selling club. we've always sold our best players. i expect us to keep selling players so have a right to comment on players leaving because stories of players departing have generally been quite true.

on the other hand we rarely buy top quality players and most of the stories linking us with players have been utter shite, so people have a right to question incoming deals and be rather sceptical.

that argument is very valid but there is a difference now. we have never done deals this early, yes i know its season ticket renewal time but surely the board arent that fucking stupid to lead us on get our money then go sorry was a lie, given the anger this season.

but however, you moaned about us making the same mistakes etc each year and every year at this time syaing maybe next season etc etc, but the club are clearly trying to sign a striker and a top class one at that. wenger has seen that he has to try something different, we did in the summer, albeit late but we signed three known players on deadline day and ones that in their short time have made a big difference. this club has failings we all know it, yet for us to keep moaning about it then moan when they try and sort it makes no sense.

i said wenger deserves praise for the last few games and league in february because he does. he does deserve critiscm too but not now, not in the league. this team was written off yet we could realisticly get third. massive achievement if we do, even fourth is given the start of the season. lets praise the club when it gets it right and moan when it doesnt. in the last few weeks in the league and performances the club have got it right and deserve praise

how have we gone from the podolski transfer to talking about praising the team in the league?

im fully aware we have been excellent in the league and havent said a bad word about our league performance for about a month now. all im saying is with this podolski transfer id rather wait until its confirmed on arsenal.com than get overexcited, only to be left disappointed like we have a number of times. its only rational to be rather cautious due to our past.

my gut feeling is the deal is probably done, but if i were to hype myself up im only going to hit rock bottom if it falls through.
