That has to be bullshit. They've probably spent more than £38m on Hazard alone. Even if they get rid of a few players, the contracts they've got their big players on will continue to mean they post heavy losses.
Actually, they might be alright. But they'll be banking on this current set of players to build something. They've got too many trouble-makers for that to happen.
They still own Roque Santa Cruz FFS! More players will go out on loan (or probably the same players), it's highly unlikely they will ever be able to sell them.
Unfortunately UEFA can probably only dictate sanctions for their competition, if they just want to dominate domestically (financially I mean) there isn't anything stopping them. Scudamore would certainly oppose any attempt to stop their spending in the Premier League.
