I would be seriously worried if we're forced to start the season with Chamakh as a first choice striker. The guy is a very limited footballer, as we saw last season.

As we saw in the 2nd half of last season where he hardly played tbh.

First half he was fine. In fact he was more than fine. He'll be better for the experience next season. Not worried about Chamakh at all

LOL What I was trying to say is Song is superior on technical level but Parker is better for our set up. Song is a good sitting CM but not mobile enough to cover midfield and both side of the flanks.

Parker's age is a concern, but quality wise he's IMO much better than turds like Denilson, Diaby and even Song (who's quite a good player but a bit limited)
I don't know why other teams aren't after him, but there's no parallel between his situation and players like Denilson and Bendtner. The latter two have been publically rejected by clubs who have no interest in taking them on, while with Parker, it's probable that teams are after him, given his excellent performances last season, and their interest is probably being kept under wraps to prevent a bidding war.

We will have to agree to disagree with regard to the quality of Parker. As far as I am concerned there is a reason why he has played most of his career with teams like Charlton, Newcastle and West Ham.

It is interesting that people quite happily laugh and crow at the (apparent) lack of interest in Arsenal players like Bendtner and Denilson, yet a player like Parker is praised as being necessary for Arsenal without there being many reports of other teams after him.

That is probably because all big english clubs already have enough DM in the same mould of Parker. Manc and Citeh would needs creative player not defensive player LOL.

Didn't west ham reject a £12mill bid for him? Old, Overrated, Overpriced. Would be worth considering if he put in those performances somewhere when he was 25, but for a 30 year old to take up the role of "highly mobile, CDM" is asking for trouble.
