And no way should he have been brought straight back in v Southampton as Mannone did nothing wrong. Fact he has means Mannone isnt competition, hes just a filler. Ches knows this and you can see the complacency in his game cos of it.

Hes nowhere near as good as people on here make him out to be. Some even called him the best in England

mannone was treated harshly but then again given his history, most people were absolutely bowled over he played so well.

Charlie, I reckon Szcznesny has been dropped. Can't remember Wenger not backing his goalkeepers after mistakes. Although he didn't criticise him, he indirectly said his place was in danger which never happened even when Lehmann or Almunia were grassing them. You could tell he wasn't happy. We'll see but I think it's Mannone's position until he fucks up.

That's not to say it can't be Mannone's place until he makes an error.

Young goalkeepers are probably little bit different breed. No set way for how you handle them. I don't think it's a bad thing if Szczesny is kept out by Mannone for the foreseeable. Ferguson chucks out De Gea every time he makes an error. Faith shouldn't encourage complacecny.

Realistically, you would think the long-term challenge would be from Martinez (Argie guy) but he's not in the CL squad

apparently after the game on saturday wenger was asked whether chez was playing with an injury. his answer was 'ive been told no'.

i have a feeling he is injured but once again questions need to be asked about our medical team. if he was playing with a slight injury then its stupid, especially as we've just had jack out for a year after he came back too soon from his injury.

maybe it provides an answer for chezza's awful distribution throughout the game.
