Every team in the league will say that any goal conceded could be avoided. But that's what it's all about.

Our problem is getting the basics right consistently, and not repeating the same mistakes over and over.

Problem wasn't defending on Saturday....it was just another gaff by a Keeper who is not good enough for this level. Szcehevehjkey on form, is decent enough....but when he's not, we have no adequate back up.

Yup, he was c*cking up at Hull in the Championship last season too, they didn't want him.

Our only saving grace is he's our 3rd choice keeper but as you say he's clearly not good enough, everybody can see this so why on earth does Wenger persist with him? Mannone shouldn't even be at the club.

What I don't understand is why we can't move for another quality keeper, competition breeds a higher level of performance, if other top 6 clubs have 2 very good keepers why can't we?

It's not even like quality keepers trade for that much money, we could have picked up many a decent keeper for under 10million over the past few years.

I think some things can be over analysed.

Sometimes a good goal is just that. The West Ham goal wasn't necessarily bad defending OR an individual error.

End of the day, we were shit they had a chance and took that chance and it won them the game.

I'd be pretty chuffed if I were him; somehow he's managed to convince AW there's a PL quality footballer there - can play awful from one game to the next and still guarantee his place in next weeks starting 11. Seems a pretty sweet deal.

stuck almunia in goal, ended fucking us over. stuck fabianski in goal, ended fucking us over. tried mannone and he fucked up early in his arsenal career too. even chez has had his fair share of bad games.

should have just splashed £15m on an experienced keeper years ago. would have saved us the hassle of losing at least 15 points every season.
