I'm not sure where the naivete comes into it. When there's half a billion on the table don't tell me Wenger has the deciding vote or even a significant say in the matter. On football, sure, and why not because none of the ****s in the backroom seem to know the first thing about that anyway. But on the finances? Not a chance. Businessmen don't make huge investments so they can be dictated to by the staff.

Why should he quit, he is meeting his targets set by his employers thats his job done, just cause you or me don't agree with it means nout at the end of the day. Even if he is ad odds with the board, he knows he is making his money off them when he feels ready he'd go. if their to stupid to sack him thats their fault. It's not Wenger that's changed, it's football. And, to an extent, things at the club at board level have changed.
Fergie has adapted to the changes in football and managed to challenge the billionaires, Wenger hasn't.
Although Fergie has had more resources than Wenger to do so, Wenger has had more resources at his disposal than he's used.

I don't believe Wenger is happy with the 'crap thats being served now'. Whether he can do anything about it though...I'm not sure.
If he was a crap manager then we wouldn't keep finishing top 4 but he could certainly do with some better people around him, he does seem to have too much power at the club right now.
