I think you're right. If they can slink through the pre-season with their wallets locked behind their financial chastity belts and get to the season kick-off they probably assume the fans will fall in line regardless. And face it, they'll be right. They'll be in trouble if Lesbian and Cesc leave in the last few minutes of the transfer window though. Or is that the plan too? Poor loves would be left high and dry with no chance to spend the big fat fees - they'd have to bank the money instead, pay off more of the debt and suffer yet another rise in their share prices.

Then they can use the old "we didnt have time to buy replacements" these clowns have lied so much in the past it will take a hell of a lot of work to make me believe them.

I would love them to prove me wrong, in fact I would beg them so but for the last 4-5 seasons they havent so no need to hold our breath.

We will all be pleased to see us spend on quality(and not just for the sake of it, although I dont quite understand what that means)and give the squad the depth and ability to push forward in the later stages of the season.

On a brighter note, I hope we’re serious about signing these players. It better not be a stunt for the Emirates. If we lose Cesc and Nasri in one window it would all be forgotten if we signed three major players. Heck, I’d even be willing to give Wenger more time to get this team settled and ready for the title challenge. Going into the season as we are wouldn’t be acceptable. Losing Cesc or/and Nasri definitely isn’t acceptable.

I said a while back that we have not won anything since every player he inherated has left. Coincidence?? maybe, but maybe not. Sell by date has passed and we desperately need to move on.

Agree and Zim is entitled to his view tbh, i agree with both of you on AW id rather he left too, but he is not so all i can do is get behind him while he is in charge of the club and hope for the best(don't mean i'm happy with it.)
