We fucked the Mata deal up unfortunately. Apparently it all fell apart when Wenger couldn't find a way to split the leftover penny on the bill three ways during the lunch that was supposed to secure the signature. I heard it was good natured but Mata had to leave for an appointment in Malaga when Wenger was only halfway through cutting with the hacksaw.

I sense a bit of humour and sarcasm in this post but has the Mata transfer ended?

No matter how good he is at shooting, he´ll be told no to.

In fact, the players should secretly decide that one of them always stays into the opposite goal, so others can actually shoot at goal, with the excuse that they´re passing the ball to the guy into it. That is the only way Wenger will allow his players to shoot at goal, until he notices the plot, of course.
