Most of Newcastle's recent signings are probably not the type of players who we need, but Moussa Sissoko would have been extremely useful to us. He's strong, powerful, covers a lot of ground and is a good passer. Arteta IMO is not mobile enough to play in the defensive midfield position, while Sissoko offers qualities that are very useful especially in the Premier League. I think we missed out there.

But there's no super super quality players to be had in January that aren't cup-tied for the CL or want to leave their clubs! How much was Sissoko? Am still gutted about Yanga-Mbiwa too be honest - but hey ho. Am sure our paper thin squad will all remain fully-fit for the entire rest of season and able to compete on all levels

And just if my mate Grimandi's Perm pops on here...still think Cabaye wouldn't have been a good buy and that part of the reason Newcastle are where they are partly coincides with his injury? And that Joe Hart is the most over-rated of over-rated players? Caesar's save yesterday wasn't too bad either. Honestly sometimes
