I don't think anyone could have predicted Gibbs would suffer a long term injury.

Monreal is a very good player and will most likely relegate Gibbs to 2nd choice. He's sound defensively, very mobile, technically very good and pretty much reaching the peak of his career.

He's like the Spanish version of Leighton Barnes, minus the free kicks. I like him.

Despite signing him, this window has still been a disaster IMHO, we needed to strengthen the squad all over.

Moreover Arsene had his hand forced with this move given the injury to Gibbs, still a good signing though.

Thank god for that, Gibbs is a hopeless defender and injured 95% of the time.
