Arsenal are prepared to smash their transfer record to sign Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic in the summer, according to Metro.

The Gunners' previous highest payment for a player was the £15million spent on bringing Andriy Arshavin from Zenit St Petersburg, although the Russian is expected to leave The Emirates at the end of the season.

Jovetic will have a chance to impress potential suitors when he turns out for Montenegro against England in Friday's World Cup qualifier.
