I also have doubts as to how much a club not having a manager affects the players decision or the club's transfer strategy. Clubs like City and Chelsea sign the players, the manager does not. Didn't Hazard join Chelsea when they were managerless when he had his pick of clubs? Not even the mighty SAF was attractive enough for him. Says it all.
I don't think the top players care about managers. They're used to a manager leaving after a season anyway. Top players go to the club paying the best wages which is also usually a club in the running to win things.

Well he wont be as good as RVP but RVP is 29 and had one year left on his contract when we sold him. If RVP was 23 like Jovetic is and had 3 years left on his deal he'd have been worth £50m.
The fact that City tried to sign Jovetic last summer and Juventus and possibly Chelsea want to sign him this summer should tell you how good Jovetic is.
How many top players can we get for £20m?
