if madrid are willing to let the player agree terms, agree a fee with the buying club then he is as good as sold. what power would a real madrid manager have to come in and stop it all at this point. why not just sell him now?

i haven't bought into it for a second, which is why i'm questioning this rather odd insistence that madrid are apparently waiting for a new manager to 'sign it off' when the deal is apparently as good as done. as you say, the chances of it being journalist bs are very high.

You're spot on of course, if they've negotiated a deal as is reported no manager is necessary, someone posted a story about Ribery being signed by us a few years back, so pinch of salt comes to mind when you hear stories like this with no party confirming anything.
