These corporate whores are criminals in my book. What they are doing may be within the law, but by any moral standard they fail to match up, and come across as parasites who take from the fans and give nothing in return.

That's the fans' fault, if fans keep giving then the corporate drones will keep taking. It's not a secret, the driving directive for any corporation is to maximise returns for shareholders. The board is doing its duty by the corporation, this is the sad reality of it. You could say the board would sell everything down to the last pencil if given the chance. Effectively that's what they did when they sold out to Stan. His job will now be to maximise the value of his asset so he too can sell on at a profit. Not sure football comes into it any more beyond the need to keep the bare minimum in place to keep on attracting the fans. There's an inertia at play, the fans' loyalty will persist long after the value for money has dropped to zero. This is what PHW and his cronies have exploited and banked and I guess Stan hopes there's enough in the loyalty tank for one more round.

Do you think they care, just like the top boss in a Selfridges or A harrods don't give a shite about his Customers. Arsenal don't give a shit about its fans/customers. to the, as long as the Money is coming in what they are doing is in the interest of the club.

Not sure the fat russian would have made a diffrence either

Well I think they probably do give a shit, in much the same way as it pays a farmer to keep his cow at least reasonably healthy.

    Words of wisdom tbh:

"Imagine the worst situation - we lose Fabregas and Nasri," stated Wenger. "You cannot convince people you are ambitious after that. You cannot pretend you are a big club.

"A big club holds onto its big players and gives a message out to all the other big clubs that they just cannot come in and take [players] away from you."

    The King Is Back.

Every day that passes without a major signing is going to make it harder in several ways. As the delay grows so does the message we are not an ambitious club, which can't make it any easier to attract ambitious players. Also the availability of players will be dropping all the time as they either sign contracts or go elsewhere. And their prices will likely rise as we get closer to the close of the transfer window and managers are more reluctant to sell due to the shorter time available to find replacements. This has all been managed so poorly it's tempting to think it is deliberate. If the club strings out these two weeks without making several major signings (and it really does need to be several given the weakness of our squad) I wonder who could possibly still have faith in this board or this manager? It will be the ultimate two fingered salute to the fans and to a club that not so long ago was considered to be the best in the land both on and off the pitch. Really though, what the hell is going on?

Well, he's right and wrong. At the moment we aren't a big club. There's the big 3 (Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea) and the smaller pack of teams capable of getting the 4th champions league spot (Us, Liverpool, Tottenham). I think 3-4 high-quality experienced players might bring us back to into the lead peleton or make us 'big' again.

But even if we are 'big' in the sense of the relative equals on the pitch of Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City, we are a team that has had its success by finding younger/unknown talent and then selling them on for a profit. We recycle players internally whereas the other teams just replace like for like, i.e. Paul Scholes is old, buy someone like Schneijder.

We're kinda like a higher quality version of West Ham or Southampton.
