Newcastle could have just kept it quiet from him, but they didnt, so pardew should blame himself and the negotiations guys from his club for telling him.

Seriously this should be laughed off by everyone as the stupidiest thing ever said by a manager.

I dont know if some of you guys have ever tried bidding for something, but you always start out with a low bid, we say 10 they say 20 and so on. If we have started with 15 they would probably be saying 25. Its standard negotiating over something, so pls get real and stop bashing Arsenal and Wenger for whatever ridiculous reason you can find.
F*ck the disrespect thing, the bid is joke.

No you don't always start low like we do, which other clubs do you see doing this exactly? Most clubs bid closeish to the valuation or bid what they are willing to pay, it's mostly us that screws around in the transfer market and ends up signing f*ck all.

PSG have now bid 15 million (a more reasonable amount) and will probably get him, that'll teach us to mess about. As for bashing Wenger, well yes he deserves it with the way he goes around doing his business and lying, you're so pro Wenger you don't seem to be able to see anything wrong in what he or the club does.

It was 5 million more, so they're probably considering it more carefully as it's not miles away from what they probably would sell him for (might have come in later than the article was written as well), they were insulted by the 10 million bid though.

Or they're just making it up to try and get everything to be seen as a saga, again.

Very possible, it wouldn't be such a saga if we didn't make it one though, if we wanted the player we should go in with a more realistic valuation to try and get the deal tied up quickly rather than alert other clubs by bidding low.

Ours is realistic, or what in theory we should be paying for someone like him. However, you just know we will only make one more bid and then we won't budge.

Not in today's market and that's what counts. We won't get him IMO, I'm not that fussed if I'm honest as he's not what I would have wanted us to sign, but we're running out of time now and we may end up with some real cr*p in the end.

What are you basing your valuation on, Zimm?

The money being paid by other teams all around the market, in this scenario Newcastle don't really want to sell (and certainly won't want to so late in the window), he's one of their best players so clearly valuable to them, what does £10 million buy you in the market these days?

To replace him they'd basically have to go in and buy someone untried at this level if they sold him for £10 million, for 15-20 million they can go after more proven players however.

Chelsea paid 18 million for Schurle (9 million for Van Ginkel a guy from a small club who's not that well known), Wanyama cost 12 million from Celtic (their players go cheap), Paulinho was 17 million, Caroll was 15 million, even unknowns go for 8 million, on that basic Cabaye has got to be worth 15 or so.

However with it being so late in the transfer window the price is probably a bit higher now.

Hopeless drug addict Pardew has now upped Cabaye's valuation on the basis he;s one of the best in the world.

Alan Pardew has not given up hope of Yohan Cabaye staying at Newcastle United, if Arsenal or Paris St Germain cannot reach their £25million valuation.
The Newcastle United manager insists his club will not sell the France international unless they received the full value for a player who cost £5million from Lille two years ago and was described by Pardew as `one of the best players in the world’.
