I still am in no doubt that the team is not good enough and we need 3 or 4 world class players but that's not to say our existing players can't improve.

Look at players like Bale, always looked pretty good as a teenager but I never thought he'd become the player he is today. Players in their early 20's can improve a lot very quickly.
These Ramsey that was gash against Villai and in the Emirates cup is on thes basis of 1 game now upwardly mobile.. I hope you are right but just don't see how.

The same can't really be said for a lot of Man Utd players because they're at their peak and can only really decline. Of course they'll strengthen though at the fist sign of decline.

You've also got Cazorla and Giroud who should be better in their second seasons.

Of course we still need better players, 100%, this transfer window has been a disaster. But our existing players should/could also improve.
Should yes, will who knows. These players have been around a long time and some have been injured a lot and continue to get injured, others may not improve at all and just not make the grade. It's a risky strategy basing your season on young players improving.

No me neither, this is the sh*t Wenger spouts out every summer and it never comes to fruition, players improve like you say when they have better players to learn from and older players to help them through the tough situations, our players don't have that luxury and the improvement is often negligible.

Not all players will improve but good ones with the right attitude should.

In his 5 years at Tottenham, Bale was surrounded by shit and had 4 different managers so unless Bale is a one off then I'm not sure how relevant management and playing with great players is. Of course it helps but fundamentally you need natural talent and a huge desire to be the best - if you have this you'll rise to the top no matter which players you play with or who you're managed by.

"While we maybe don't have as much money as everybody writes, we have some funds available to do transfers," he said.

    Why's that funny?

It would be dumb to go on about how rich you are when you're trying to buy players.
