He stands to make much more money by running down his contracts. Hefty signing on fees and hyper-wages, because there's no fee attached.
I don't think he's ever left mid-contract, which on the outside may look admirable, but really, it's a means to hiking up his cash haul.
He's a trained lawyer isn't he....so, he's not exactly stupid.
