I would still argue that playing someone who has but for three games played his entire career at full back as a centre back is the definition of makeshift.
don't get me wrong he's actually done ok there, but with the high line we play at home and the total absence of midfield protection will mean that he will be punished for pace every single time....but Wenger prefers putting square pegs in round holes rather than spending.
