For all their signings, they've only signed one that would make it into our first team (Soldado) and even he isn't that much of an upgrade on Giroud, who is a far better all-round player. They're also about to lose a player who was probably worth a third of their points last season. Only one that really looks like a good buy was Eriksen at 10.7M, and Cazorla shits all over him (as will Ramsey this season).

We said we wanted big name players, they take time. At the moment the only player that we've really missed out on is Higuain, and that because the club thought a 'better' player could be brought in (fair enough). Patience lads. Something will happen before the end of the transfer window. As for the Flamini signing, it's a good one for squad depth if he is physically fit - our midfield quality looks quite decent.

Apart from the last paragraph I agree with that. I don't think Soldado would be an upgrade on Giroud, in fact I'll bet BIF will outscore him this season from open play. Would take Lamela though in a heartbeat, that's the only one I've actually been pissed off by. Their first team isn't any better, only thing is that they have depth and would be able to cope with injuries unlike us. If they finish above us, this will be the reason why.

We've been patient for long enough, should have really exerted pressure back in July when teams like Liverpool and Spurs were completing signings and we were twiddling our thumbs. It doesn't take 2/3 months to complete a big name transfer especially when we've got the money to back up the offers. It's just been sheer incompetence from Wenger/Gazidis and rightfully they're getting called on it at the moment.
