considering time is running out and most of the top end strikers have gone already, anyone think a punt on torres is worth it or am I getting desperate? I actually think he could work quite well in our team with jack, caz etc playing him through balls. Still has decent pace and actually had a decent record last season.

At this moment in time with the market about to shut and not many top strikers out there I don't see why not. At the start of the window I would have been furious about it but right now it's probably the best we can hope for.

Whilst we can't simply write of the astronomical transfer fees the likes of Chelsea and City pay because ..... well we're an actual club who have to rely on our own business model for finance, we can and should be able to take gambles around the 10 - 15 million range right now. We've wasted sums like that on shit transfers and wages the past few years.
