Chelsea can play the likes of Mata, Eto.o, Ba, De bryune etc so anything other thana strong team from us will likely end in defeat. Maureen always treats this cup seriously and we know how much he loves beating us and do anything to halt our momentum.

I would go in with quite a strong side, still more likely to win this than the league. And winning any trophy can be a spring board to further success. Win this match and one of the big teams are out. We arent going to finish below 4th place and we arent going to win the league, so we should really go for this. We dont want to stop the momentum. We lost to dortmund, palace was a bit squeaky bum at times and if we lose against Chelsea we have Liverpool with two on form strikers. So not exactly guarenteed 3 points.

No Arteta, Flamini could be interesting as Wilshere isnt 100%, so Ramsey will have to play anyway. I would through Ozil in as it would mean another game to build up an understanding with Giroud and Cazorla. Same back four and Chezza. So basically pick a full strength side and once we are 3up then look to substitute. There are plenty of league games in the season when we can rotate players. I dont think a one off cup game is the right time.

Also Pod, Walcott and the ox will return at some point to allow more rest time for others.

Wow Bumble. You are even more adamant we take this seriously than I am!

I do think the league is a priority as a) It is the prime competition we're in and b) I want us to go close enough for Wenger to see that under-preparing the squad was actually unnecessary and that we could have won the damn thing.

Ozil's understanding with the rest needn't be hurried through and I would have reservations about starting Ramsey given that we now know (Wenger has come out and said it) that Jack isn't quite there yet injury wise, Flamini is injured and Arteta is out.

I think we should play Cazorla to get him match fit. There is an international break comming up soon, so might aswell give him as much playing time until then.

Yeah, he was a yard short (not in height ) on Saturday, and we need him back to his quickest.

One of our major problems last weekend was the pace we played at. Not entirely sure where things have slowed recently, but it is 90% of the problem, in relation to the dip in performance.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.
