Do you play FM?? As far as I know, the list is of those players who are no longer wanted by their current clubs, but have a contract. The values of these players is significantly lower than the actual value of the player. That is how i see it anyways.

Its not an actual list that is held anywhere as i understand it, the PFA hold a list of all free agents and when a player is "transfer listed" i think it just mans their agent can approach other clubs about his availability rather than them have to wait to be spoken to.

Before agents took over there may have been a central list held somewhere, the PFA again maybe?

Yeh but as far as i know, there is no actual list is there? In which case how would the managers know who is transfer listed
