But the real fans suffer, all those emty seats at the Emirates before kick-off, half time, final whistle make me sick whilst im watching and living every moment from a shitty internet stream or the pub.

The tickets a so expensive, ive only seen arsenal once at the emirates but went to Highbury plenty of times and im only 26.

Sure, but we all want £40m signings and the money to pay their wages.
Gate receipts are a significant percentage of our income. I agree it's not right but nor are lots of things in the modern game.
    Whaddaya do?

Don't blame the player, blame the game.

It's what we have to do to compete in a post Russian/Arab/Oil football world. The sooner UEFA have the balls to fully implement FFP the better for us all.

Initial post wasn't really aimed at 'pool supporters - mostly at who should be subsidising them....

Liverpool FC will pocket 45% of a reputed average gate of £3,000,000 - that's £1,350,000 - surely they could afford £10-20 subsidy for their 9,000 fans (£90-180,000) still leaving them with £1,170,000 -£1,260,000)?

Why should Arsenal FC have to reduce the cost for 'pool fans?

Because the prices will be reduced for everyone. And since the price for everyone will be lower, matchday revenue will be lower and we won't take as much as we originally would so it's not as if we're somehow getting one over you. On the other hand, both clubs may even get the same/more since this game is sandwiched between far bigger games, all no doubt category A, and likely to feature weakened team/s. I would think this fixture is a much more attractive proposition to watch, now it is cheaper. As you say, the difference for the clubs is tiny, negligible, but the difference for fans is rather large especially when you take travel into account.

Your fans were calling for it too, so it's not as if this was some sort of demand the club made.

In any case, going by the Black Scarf people, all this does is bring it in line with your policy last season.

We've got the 2nd biggest squad in Europe apparently, maybe we should trim it (get rid of players who maybe aren't really up to it) and also lose the players who are injury prone in our squad.

This may help a bit at least.

We had a massive clear out in the summer, we have all, you included, been lamenting how thin our squad is

Do we really want all that? Or would it be better to kick the chavs, the gypos, psg, the spaniards etc out of the game and make everything cheaper across the board? Bigger prices are mostly going to fund bigger margins for fewer individuals. Stupid wages, stupid transfer fees, for players that aren't fit to lace the boots of the guys who played for a tenner. Everyone says you can't go back, but it will have to after it collapses. In 20 years there may be 20-30 clubs across Europe all playing in some shitty league with tickets £500 each and all the other clubs bust. That's the way it's going. Pumping more cash into it, or dragging it out of the fans, will just accelerate the crash.
