From the clips I've seen he definitely reminds me a bit of Bale and RVP.
Wenger wont pay anywhere near the release clause though and that's why this deal hasn't happened yet. The player is injured, hasn't had a great season and probably isn't good enough yet to get into the German WC squad. He's nowhere near being the finished article.
