We were never going to sign a new starter in midfield, Arteta is basically our captain (since verm never plays). If its going to happend, its maybe going to happend in the summer, depends if Wenger still think he is good enough or not. I would love to get a new striker in, so would Wenger. But i still think its should be for proper money and in the January window you're never going to get a top striker unless you want to pay 50m for Torres

Wenger hates spending money he wants to do what he always does by relying on youth and taking the credit, but the problem is his mind set is stuck ten years in the past. Our academy system is producing shit and the likes of Draxler who Wenger could sign for 2-3 million ten years ago now costs 30 million which makes him sulk because he can't take the credit for polishing a gem the way he used to. And the players who he can sign for an equivalent amount are shit like Sanogo, so Wengers bolt hole doesn't work and he would rather bash his head against a wall rather than accept the reality of the situation.
