Hughes can turn any game into a shitfest just as easily as Pulis. Most of our results here have been draws so it's not really a place we thrive at. We can't afford many more slip ups and those freaks would love it if they derailed our challenge.
To draw with a team , beat a team or get beaten doesn't not depend on their result against other teams . Football is not mathematics to draw simple comparisons . Results depend on performances , attitudes , mindset , commitment and strategy adopted on the day .
Example :
We scored 5 goals against Cardiff ( in two games ) ( 3-0 & 2-0)
Cardiff beat Manchester City 3-2
City smashed Arsenal 6-3 .
Stoke beating Man U and Chelsea or drawing with City will not influence the outcome of the game against Arsenal even though some will state that it will give them confidence . It just doesn't work like that .
DO NOT POSTPONE TODAY'S DUTY FOR TOMORROW .IT MAY BE TOO LATE .
Fine, but they've only lost 2 league games at home this season. And they've had good results about other top sides.
Those facts are not irrelevant. Yes, every game is an individual occasion but form isn't irrelevant to it.
They lost to Liverpool and Norwich, right?
Think so.
Obviously you can't just cherry pick results and draw a conclusion but if there is a pattern of good results and a good overall home record then I don't think that can be dismissed as irrelevant.
Stoke's results in 2014:
Man City 1-0 Stoke
Stoke 1-1 Swansea
Southampton 2-2 Stoke
Stoke 2-1 Man Utd
Sunderland 1-0 Stoke
Chelsea 1-0 Stoke
Crystal Palace 1-0 Stoke
Stoke 3-5 Liverpool
Stoke 2-1 Leicester
Stoke 1-1 Everton
That's 2 wins, 3 draws and 5 defeats in 10 games, granted 2 wins and 2 draws came at home (though 1 win was against Leicester and the other against Man U), not exactly sh*t hot form, we should beat them IMO.

They are the sort of mediocrity we should and need to sweep aside if we still want to ostensibly be challenging for the title....
We're up against the tiki-taka masters.
