Just watched the MOTD 2 highlights.

It really can't be understated but Per and Kosicenly were both fucking amazing! It's going to be a tough job eventually replacing them. Personally I think they're as a good as any CB pairing we've had under Wenger's reign, Sol/Kolo and Adams/Keown.

Midfield didn't function but hey we ground out a win. Ironically we probably had our best performance in the last month against Bayern at home and we lost that.

Giroud tried his hardest but once again showed his limitations. Always playing with his back to goal and never brave enough to make runs in behind, not that he has the pace for it. There was a moment where he was played through and instead of running towards goal, just held it up and tried playing in Podolski and the oppurtunity was spurned. We really need to sign a Suarez/Sturridge type this summer - a nimble, pacy and tricky striker.

Also, it may have been lost but we finally won a game with Mike Dean in charge. Though he did try his hardest, not giving that stonewall pelanty for Koscienly when he was manhandled.

Giroud really needs to be told that sometimes it's ok to make the run rather than play a 1-2. He really needs to take a look at Benteke and Lukaku. All 3 of them are similar but Giroud is more interested playing that eye of the needle bollocks.

Szczesny has been almost as consistent as Koscielny and Mertesacker this season and has probably earned us more points than anyone. He has one dodgy moment in twenty games and he gets criticised. It seems sometimes that Arsenal fans think a player has to be flawless all season to be deserving of praise.
I'm not taking away praise from scezza. He has had some questionable handling in the recent games. Right now, I'm more comfortable with flappy. Though I wouldn't lose sleep over scezza remaining no.1

There are other more pressing areas we need to pay attention to, like up front. Giroud needs to start manning up and not be a lil bitch for 90 minutes.

That's one down two to go. Win next two and I would put us as favourites with our run in. It will a lot more difficult than yesterday. We didn't play well but we didn't need too. Szczensy made one save.

The game was perfect for us, score early and defend as we don't create much now with so many creative players missing but sitting back and defending is what we can do.

The first goal is key for us, we can't chase games but excellent at holding leads. Chavs up next.

Rozza's goal was worthy of winning any NLD! What a fucking striker.

the back 4, esp the two CBs were out of this world and won everything, Koscielny's block on the line was fantastic to see.

Giroud awful, really bad performance from him. but for me our worst player was Arteta, my god he's so slow. He's okay against Sunderland, Hull city etc at home but he really struggles in the big games and loses the ball everytime. As soon as you presure him you know he's either gonna lose it or pass it back to the CBs.

A DCM must be one of the priorities in the summer.

You have to give credit to Sherwodd though, he's got plenty of passion!

throwing his jacket on the floor and criticising his players in public.... someone wants the fans to be on his side.

As rubbish as Giroud is in situations like yesterday, he's not helped by the fact our midfield rarely tend to flood forward to give him options. He's good at one touch lay offs but when there's no one around it's just pointless. Maybe things would be different if we had Theo as an outlet or even Ramsey who runs box to box all day long.

Certainly need to look at more pacey options in the summer though, it's so annoying whenever Giroud can potentially be played in and take on his man but he'll inevitably cut back and bring things to a halt because he doesn't have the skill set to do anything else with it. That can't be our only viable option.

Might help if the players were too...
Society is now one polished horde
Formed by two mighty tribes, the bores and the bored.

"After all, it was the Gunners’ goalkeeper who started the move that culminated in Thomas’ crowning glory. It was Lukic who, in injury time, decided to throw the ball out to Lee Dixon rather than lump it long..."

His lack of pace is a big problem for us. Yesterday he was put through by the Ox but had to check back instead of going towards goal. Spuds high line was perfect was someone like Theo to run in behind but we never exploited it enough.

This team + a quality pacey striker would be devestating. Imagine if you took out Liverpool'ls strikers out of their team...they'd be nowhere. We've done well without a top quality frontman but we cannot beat the big sides with Giroud.

NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
