Great goal scoring record this season, but more than anything, it's what he offers Liverpool. You'll know he'll always make runs behind the defenders, and with his pace, more often than not he'll do something with it. That's why I personally think Liverpool have the best chance at the title, strikers can snatch you all the points.
Admittedly he was poor against the spufs, but I don't think you can level the "not strong enough" line at him.
He's probably the best target man in the league for touch, and ability to hold the ball, and lay it off quickly.
But he is quite clearly in a poor state of mind at present, and he isn't performing well.
Yes, we need better, and yes we need a mobile striker, but the critisism of Giroud is beyond a joke, given how hard he has worked on his own this year. Gooners can be so snobby sometimes.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.
He's been shit and is shit all season bar a few games....awful awful striker only surpassed in awfulness by Bendtner and Chamack in recent times.
Constantly falls on his arse, shitty hold up play except maybe in the 12 yard box, zero pace, dont recall him striking the ball much etc...
He's struggling physically at the moment. Have you noticed how much he's on the floor, complaining about the ref or trying to draw fouls? He hasn't been playing the target man role very well lately. Part of his role is to bring the midfield into play and when he's off his game like that, the system breaks down.
