Win or lose, hopefully he announces whatever the fuck he's decided to do after this game.

Don't see us winning though, confidence is too low and our play is so disjointed. City will be far more slicker and punish us. We have to hope for some weak defending on their part to have a chance. Bit like the league game the other week.

    Nah, end of the season.

Which, in itself, is grounds for sacking. The damage he's done over the last few months is unbelievable. And even if people know what's going on inside the club, which doesn't sound like it's the case, this season has shown us how much respect and appreciation the club and this manager have for the fans. Zero. None at all. That can't be fixed.

He said March or April after the Bayern defeat so hopefully he sticks to his word.

I still retain a bit of hope that he isn't a complete cunt.

    Though I fear I'm wrong.

I think even if he was going to stand down as a result of this match he's not going to announce it before hand

He said he would probably announce his plans in April to German television in February based on the fact that he assumed that he would turn things around justifying a contract extension.

Since then the decision has also somewhat been taken out of his hands, the board appear to have woken up and realised they have responsibilities.

Not finishing in the champions league positions and the fans protests still may not be enough to lose him his job, but it may be enough for Gazidis or someone like him to demand take it or leave it stipulations.........which i imagine would include changing the coaching team, bringing in a director of football etc

I think it's too late in the day now for the board to state they are going in a different direction (It clearly can be done but it's too late to think a conservative board like ours would do that), the only hope of Wenger going before 2019 is if he walks away either because he believes he can't turn things round (not much evidence of that) or that he won't accept the impositions placed on him (possible).

Don't get me wrong there is absolutely ZERO justification for Wenger to stay after this season even if we win every game between now and the end of the season, things are just far too stale and i don't believe now he has fallen outside the top four he can ever take us back into it. But have to accept that Kroenke calls the shots as far as Wenger is concerned, and Wenger by his own admission is too scared to call it a day.

I don't rate City but we are just worse than them and are the ultimate bottle jobs. I think we'll lose, it will be a quite close game though.

True enough. But he has taken the time out to announce beforehand that this game will not affect his decision. Why say anything at all? For me he's telling the fans, forget it, even if we lose it won't make a damn difference. He's getting his blow in before a thousand come back at him if we lose.
