Why?

It has taken over 20 attempts to achieve a result away from home against one of the title contenders. If you see something happen the same way 20 times in a row why is it odd to have an expectation the 21st will be the same? I think most fans had just written this game off which is perfectly reasonable given what we've seen over the previous years.

Also, fans moan when the team loses and cheer when it wins. For the fans consistency isn't the prize in this competition. That's why everyone thinks that Ty bloke from Arsenal Fan TV is an arsehole, no matter what happens he's the loyal (blind) fan. Is that admirable or gullible and stupid? If all fans were like Ty would the board spend any money? Would the players try to win? You give a corporation a bunch of fanatical drones and they'll milk it for the bare minimum investment and maximum profit.

Nothing at all wrong with fans being utterly pissed off with our previous performances in the big games and nothing wrong with fans being delighted about this win either. No heads need to be hung.
