Yep Last year was pretty amazing for him, winning Miami and Indian Wells as well as AO and Wimbledon
As you say, I think skipping a lot of the events (and most notably Roland Garros) is a smart move on his part
He was the favourite in New York as well but I always thought that was a tournament too far for him. He struggled against Tiafoe (one for the future) and Yuhzny.
I don’t know enough about WWE to even get the Brock Lesnar comparison
