If I understand things right, if we end up 5th and Liverpool go on to win the CL, then we get CL football next year because 5th place will also be a CL spot. So we are in the position that either Liverpool winning the CL or us winning the EL will get us a place in the CL next season.

I've been to a few Arsenal away European games and we have some real knuckle draggers.
Most clubs do.
Some worse than others, maybe. I don't regard Liverpool as especially guilty in this regard. Chelsea are worse IMO.

The fans have nothing to do with it. It’s the media love-in because of all the ex-players knocking around that does it, along with the romanticism projected onto the club that makes me want to gag. Plus, they’re a big team so it goes without saying I want them to fail. I’d expect most of their fans to want us to always fail too.

Only good thing coming out of yesterday is that even if Spuds somehow dive their way to a win over Ajax. Pool will surely tear them apart in the final. Id rather Ajax went on and won the thing though.
