Think these number 10, creative/between the lines type of players are a bit dated. Would prefer someone a bit more dynamic with tangible end product. He will struggle to make a serious impact in a team where most of the play is just geared towards the wide areas and getting crosses/cutbacks in.
I get the feeling the club are banking on Saka and ESR developing into that kind of player - they’re already there with the dynamic running and ball-carrying but, yeah, we need to start seeing consistent end product now.

Agree that Ødegaard is unlikely to come in and instantly start winning games single-handedly for us, but he’ll at least add much needed variety to our creative options as a passer who can unlock a defence, and he’ll add an extra body to allow us to rest and rotate those other two. (Hopefully having a 10 in there will also stop our 9 from having to keep dropping off to do the job leaving us with no one in the middle when the ball comes in!)
