It would give an objective view of the job Arteta is doing. I find that canvassing the opinions of other football fans is often useful to put my views about Arsenal in context. So many Gooners are understandably prone to criticism/pessimism as the rsult of our fall from the top table being in (relatively) recent memory, and expectations based on remebering our heyday. Speaking to other fans can present a counterbalance to this.

Of course I haven't/and don't know if my assumption is correct - which is why my question was conjecture (although my non-Arsenal supporting friends are almost all of the opinion that he is doing a good job). As you say, we are both expressing opinions...and it remains to be seen whether Potter is the better manager.
