Are you seriously denying he raised their level?
There were a couple of seasons they flirted with a title challenge and he got them to a CL Final FFS.
Ok, he didn’t win anything with them which is a definite black mark against him, but they were closer than I’m comfortable with under him.
No doubt his Spurs team from 2016-19 was very good. It’s hilarious they missed their window of opportunity to do something major but I don’t think it can be denied that he did a very good job while having next to nothing to spend.
Not sure I’d be worried if he went back because the competition is much stiffer now than it was during his first stint.

But in a Cup competition you only need a bit of luck to win it and they were far too close to a CL for comfort. Can you imagine if they’d won it?
