I had a client yesterday who wanted a diagnosis of PTSD so he could go back and tell his ex that was the reason he was such a dickhead. I had to tell him I don’t do diagnostics (and I don’t think he has PTSD in any event, but of course I didn’t tell him that).
I can imagine that's quite common, people wanting a diagnosis to justify shit behaviour.
(I was joking about having a PTSD therapist, just to be clear!)
