The disallowed pel seems really harsh, I couldn't really tell on the replays I saw and even if it was double touch it wasn't deliberate, that's clearly not what that rule is about - why don't they do what happens when the goalie moves off his line and make them take it again?

Oh…that will teach me to half read things, I thought you were saying that we were awarded a pel and it was overturned. See what you mean now. But answer still the same I guess, would have to watch it back to form an opinion. Either way, it does seem harsh, I’d be more inclined to say retake it like they do if a keeper is off his line

Isn't that what happens if the run up is deemed illegal? You're not allowed to stop any more, I think Pele is to blame for that!

So had a chance to look at this “double kick” pel, and whilst I appreciate I’m only looking at it from one angle I certainly couldn’t see it. Which again comes back to VAR being used to exceed its remit of “clear and obvious” errors
