That Lucy Bronze is one of those you would say enjoys defending, probably to the point of being slightly masochistic…doesn’t feel like she’s had a proper game unless she’s had to strap or tape something up

It’s hard to tell how talented they are going forward because my only point of reference is the men’s game but they are on the whole a team that would be frustrating to play against if they have something to preserve

I didn’t quite mean it literally when I said Bronze was a masochist, but she’s been playing with a fractured tibia (shin bone). Which is a pretty reckless thing to be doing….not just risking what’s left of her career but risking long term health problems including crippling arthritis or mobility issues
