Tottenham's Dele Alli claimed many of the pre-match headlines as talk turned to him developing into a player who might eventually bear comparison with former England captain Bryan Robson.
He is doing very well on his own merits tonight getting forward in support of Harry Kane, working back to help in defensive areas and also rolling neatly away from Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller in one movement.
