We will win this and still come second. Frankly I would love it if we somehow got knocked out of this competition altogether. Cannot fathom the thought of another Barca thrashing in Feb.
Arsene Wenger, the only football manager that got paid 8 million quid to do nothing but sit on his arse..

Tbf. We've never been thrashed by Barca.

And we've been robbed by them and the ref on more than one occasion.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.

We have never been thrashed 'scoreline wise' against anyone tbf (May be Man Utd when the fans got free flags ). In hindsight, thrashed was probably not the best word to describe the inevitable loss that will be handed to us.

Don't see the fuss over first or second. The likelihood of winning the thing for us is extremely slim, and at some point you have to face a big team. A boring draw in the second round doesn't exactly liven things up.

We've qualified, which is good, so as long as we get a renowned team, bar Barca or Bayern, I'll be happy with that.

    Yep.

We're not good enough to win this competition and we don't need to be dumped out by the best teams to realise that. Hopefully we're drawn against someone decent so the game can be a bit of an occasion, not interested in any of the fodder. Whom we'll probably still struggle to overcome anyway if Monaco is anything to go by.

Porto, the chavs and Liverpool should never have been good enough to win it either but it happened. When is it going to be our year?

I'd happily take it over the league given the choice.

Just think, if we had beaten Chelsea, got to the final, we could've extinguished the evil of Fraudinho before it even began.

We should have won the final against Barca. Henry should have made it 2-0. Anything is possible but it feels like we're a million miles away from a team that can beat the likes of Real Madrid over two legs.

    Pretty much.

I'd like to play any of Juventus, Atletico, Real Madrid, Sevilla or Benfica.

Dortmund for the 7th and 8th time in a few years would be yawnsome too.

How would that happen, half of our fixtures in the group would need to be overturned
