Rosicky is a doubt for this.

He was named in the starting 11 for Czechs yerterday but pulled out during the warm up with a groin strain

Quite enjoyed the International break this time round.

Any GWers going to this fancy a pint/coke pre match?
Society is now one polished horde

"After all, it was the Gunners’ goalkeeper who started the move that culminated in Thomas’ crowning glory. It was Lukic who, in injury time, decided to throw the ball out to Lee Dixon rather than lump it long..."

    Szczesny

    Jenkinson/Djourou?
    Mertesacker
    Koscielny
    Gibbs

    Song
    Coquelin
    Arteta

    Oxface
    RVP
    Ju

We should try this tbh. Maybe it will allow Ramsey or Arteta to express themselves. Keep the same team but possibly swap Ju for Gervinho/Walcott if we're playing more counter-attacky against Marseille on Wednesday.

    We won't though, of course.

think Coqulein should now be ahead of frimpong. two games against spurs and united he was our best player. he looks calm unlike frimpong.

    Arsenal v Sunderland (1330 BST)

The pressure is definitely on Sunderland boss Steve Bruce at the moment and, despite what has been said by the club's owner Ellis Short, seeing Niall Quinn step down as chairman to take up another role is not going to help Bruce's prospects.

Rightly or wrongly, there is a bit of groundswell against Bruce from the fans and a trip to Arsenal is not what you want when you need three points to keep your critics quiet.

It is easy to bash Arsenal because we know they are lacking some of the qualities they will need to get into the top four but they are still a good side, who are very difficult to beat, and I can only see Sunderland leaving north London empty-handed.

I still think Bruce is a good manager who is having a bad time, but he needs some support from his chairman while the results are not going for him.

Maybe he should be looking ahead to next week's trip to Bolton, which looks like it could be a huge game for him and Wanderers manager Owen Coyle.

    Prediction: 2-0
    Difficult to beat?
