Arsenal, Tottenham and Inter are weighing up moves for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlin, Goal.com can reveal.

The Argentine has been in impressive so far this season and is being watched closely by top clubs ahead of the January transfer window.

Faurlin, 25, is rated at around £10 million by QPR and has also attracted interest from Napoli.

Arsenal have scouted Faurlin a number of times in the last year and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is an admirer of his passing ability and intelligence.

Tottenham have shortlisted Faurlin as a potential target to replace Luka Modric if the Croatian playmaker at the end of the season.

Faurlin has been tracked by Inter ever since he turned down a move to the San Siro as he felt he would get more playing opportunities at QPR, who he joined from Instituto de Cordoba in July 2009 in a club record ￡3.5m deal.

Faurlin found himself at the centre of a controversy last season when complications over his transfer and registration almost cost QPR their promotion to the Premier League.

The west London club were accused of breaking third-party ownership regulations when they signed Faurlin and only escaped the threat of a points deduction on the final day of the season.

ARSENE WENGER has labelled Mario Gotze "a very good player", but has ruled out a January swoop for the German sensation.

Gotze has lit up the Bundesliga this year with a series of breath-taking displays for Borussia Dortmund and has attracted interest around Europe.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the talented 19-year-old, but Gunners boss Wenger says his squad is already bursting at the seams.

The Frenchman said: ''We have a big squad and we are not after anybody.

''Gotze is a very good player. I can understand there is a lot of interest in him around Europe.

''On our side, I do not think this is the best time to talk about it."

German international Gotze should make an appearance at the Emirates tomorrow as Dortmund take on Arsenal in the Champions League.

January would be the best time to go after Goetze, as he is looking like a seriously good player and we should e busting our gut to get him.....his performance/match winner against Bayern would have added a few quid on his value.

Also, where is a top striker going to play when van persie is fit? Joke all you want about how an injury is around the comer but podolski ain't coming to sit on the bench. Also we can't attract top players. Gotze is not going to want to come - there will be better (or at least, bigger clubs) interested. And to be perfectly honest, I'm done with getting these technically gifted foreign youngsters coming here only to fuck off to their 'dream' clubs in a few seasons...and by the sounds of it, so is wenger. Focus on oxlade chamberlain and that Japanese kid - I'd like to see one of them being given more of an opportunity (though I think miyachi is injured).
