This is just a random punt. Might turn out well, might turn out to be a Bischoff. This isn't a measured signing for the future like Oxlade - you can spot them from a mile off...mainly because we pay decent money. All I know of this guy is from today - he had a very bad injury which set him back last year and he hasn't played a senior game for Dortmund.

To be fair to him, it's much more difficult getting into the Dortmund midfield as an ACM these days than it is getting into an Arsenal one.

The only way we will know if hes a good signing is how much he features in the up and coming months, after losing cesc and samir in the summer, we defo need a CAM so lets hope his injury hasnt set him back too much

actually think wenger has got this one right, lets face it, we wont win the league, so using the time to get a player settled and ready for next year is probs a good use of it. get this guy firing, ox firing, with jenkinson, yennaris etc all getting games then hopefully we have a much more balanced squad ready to step in whenever we need them next year. still would like a bigger signing but this guy is meant to be very good and is highly rated according to a lot of people, apparently dortmund fans are gutted as he was highly rated.

Depends what the clubs aim is, if they are happy to settle for 5th, then its fine, we don't need major signings. if they want top 4 then they do. IMO they have wriiten off the season and in the summer will do business dependant on where we finish.
