If the deals go through then two more of our players are out the dooor

However we will then have money to pay for the players we have been linked with, which I suppose their clubs have been demanding we have
So really there are no more excuses to not spend

not sure about Jadson except what I saw at the Copa, Dann OK but 1 more, Cahill or Jags then I would go after a striker that can play upfront with RvP - Nic is out which means more money - marquee players I wish but no go I think so how 10 or so for Obwinge , he has pace can play off RvP gets stuck in and we know can score, this may not be the ambitious signing of a top club but I think we need to go back to being a team and working for each other, we will not attract the kind of names that we can build a club around, Jack is our best bet at that and I will welcome back his directness, just hope he has developed a hunger for a goal or two

I feel we should be after one more player but I think Vinger sees Ramsey with an important role this year.
£50mill in transfer fees and about £18mill spent? I don't think that even begins to compensate. We won't do the right thing in the transfer market, that's the only thing we can be sure of.

Makes a lot of sense, it's the kind of fucked up way this board goes about things. Instead of strengthening to ensure we don't go out they would definitely hang on to see if the kids can pull us through.

Questioning the Ukraine leagues quality is a bit of insult considering these guys beat us, topped our CL group and won the UEFA Cup. We should be more worried about Wenger's ability to get the guy settled and adjusted. If we don't think he's the right player for us then that is cool, but forget all that talk about him not being able to adjust because he's from another league. That says more about Wenger's coaching ability if anything.
I don't think its an insult at all. They might have done well in Europe (we handed them our CL group on a fucking platter) but are you honestly saying that the Ukranian league is as strong as the EPL? Do me a favour! And yes Arshavin's fitness is and always has been an issue - and bears out what I am saying in this regards.

Clutch at as many straws as you like - but signing Jadson to replace Fabregas is like someone used to dining on prime steak then settling for KFC. Both perform a function but there can be no doubt that the former is better.

different players by the sounds of it and i'd be wholly surprised that someone from the ukraine league would not be ready for a physical game.

I wasn't trying to compare players per se - more comparing their pedigree. If we buy Jadson, he might be great. But I am surprised that people (not you) seem to be suggesting that his signing would be as promising as, say, Mata - or an equally 'recognised' creative MF.

We badly need some real quality, not just someone to fill a gap for the sake of a few quid.

I would just chuck the lot at some real class. Benzema and Cahill would be excellent. I don't think we need much more in midfield, other than someone who can push the pace up. Something more direct. Arshavin would be exce;;ent through the middle.

BTW, he looked fit as fuck on Saturday. Really slim
We got no chance of getting him, Why he'd want to come to us would be a mystery, we be btter off going after Strurridge, ot get zeko or bellamy as part of the nasri deal.

Falcao's moving to Atletico Madrid apparently.

Isn't Wenger quoted as saying that keeping Nasri was "a techincal decision" and that the board accepted that? Therefore if it is a myth, it's one that Wenger has perpetuated too.

Also this is interesting in a couple of ways. A) in that Kroenke has started to exert some authority and B) how Wenger might react to that.

His autonomy (according to the AST) under the previous regime was virtually complete. Wasn't one of the reasons he rebuffed Real Madrid down to the lack of control/board interference he might experience there?

If Kronkers starts throwing his weight around, Wenger might review his job options.

And there you have it, a team showing us how to do it
    lose a quality player
get a decent wedge in return
spend that or some of that same wedge on another quailty player
